Avanti Pizza Baking Stone

I am having some teething problems with this particular stone. It works OK, but am having trouble with pizzas sticking. There are absolutely no instructions for use, and having read some of the other reviews, seasoning the stone might help. However, no issues at all with the service from Kitchenware Direct.

really good stone - I seasoned mine first - directions from internet and was fairly easy to clean. There are stains but that is to be expected. Makes a really nice crust

The pizza stone became very toxic smelling when oven was very hot - I threw it in the bin. I wouldn't recommend it. You are better off getting one of the pizza ovens from this company - they are good value as by using this you don't have to turn your main oven on, saving energy and preventing kitchen getting hot in summer.

pizza stones are great, only problem is they get dirty easy and are hard to clean up, but work a treat.

Cooks pizzas i did not think were possible at home. works wonderfully and much better than the regular metal tray. once seasoned pizza turn out so crispy and delicious. surprised seasoning instructions are not included. a quick google search helps with this. i oiled the stone with olive oil and floured after the first 2 pizzas stuck. and repeat before each use. Now all pizza bases are as close to perfect as possible. awesome product . cant believe i waited this long to buy one.

Bought 2 of these and my pizzas have improved hugely. Product just as described. Can be a bit hard to clean - you just have to live with stains on the porous surface. Unbeatable price. Great service - arrived quickly and all intact.

I love to make homemade pizzas, and finally, with this stone, the base is living up to the toppings. And the price! Such terrific value! Everything I've ordered has come well packaged and delivered promptly. I love this store!!

What a fabulous inventions :) I am gluten intollerant and used a gluten free recipe. It came up crispy and delicious- a rare feat in GF cooking. Now to buy the cuisinart mixer with the dough hooks and it will be perfect - 10 out of 10 Kitchenware direct.
