"It's all in the presentation." How many times have you heard that old chestnut? Well, if there's an area in life where it really holds true, it's in baking, and a cake plate or cake stand shoulders a lot of the responsibility when it comes to presentation.

Some cake plates are simply a pedestal for the work of art that is your cake and they make a world of difference to your finished product (think of what a frame does for a picture). Then there are cake stands that not only enhance your baked treat, but make decorating it much less laborious. Some of them turn to make it easier to apply borders, other cake stands turn and tilt to put the cake in the best position relative to your decorating hand. Whichever you choose, the cake stand will up the "ooh and ahh factor."
