Pastry Brushes & Tools
There are a few things that should be in the baker's bag of tricks. A pastry brush is used to spread things like water or melted butter onto something like a pie crust before it goes into the oven. The baker uses the pastry wheel to score or cut dough prior to putting together the final product. Removing air holes is what a pastry roller is used for.
When all is said and done, pastry brushes, wheels and rollers might not be trendy or cutting-edge (well, the pastry wheel actually is good at cutting an edge) gizmos, but they're positively vital gear for the baker.
