As the company that popularised the bundt cake, who better to buy such a cook book from than Nordic Ware? Couple it with their Bundt Cake Pan and you have an excellent gift for the cook in your life. Spiral binding allows the book to sit nice and flat on the counter, making it much easier to use while baking.
Family-owned since 1946, Nordic Ware is an American manufacturer of quality cookware, bakeware, microwave and barbeque products. The first items Nordic Ware sold were ethnic bakeware products, the best known being their Bundt Pan. Years later the company revolutionised microwave cooking with their patented Micro-Go-Round. The Nordic Ware name is associated with quality, dependability and value, and the company prides itself on using quality materials and construction, producing long-lasting goods that can be handed down through the generations.

As said in the previous review, the cookbook is designed for the American market. There is a conversion chart (for measurements and temperatures) at the back though, so certain ingredients that are not so common down here are probably the only problem. There are a few recipes that use ingredients such as one packet of chocolate cake mix (why use a cookbook if you are to bake a packet cake with something added?) but most of the recipes use proper ingredients and work well. If you are a total beginner or if you are after a cookbook with great pictures, don't buy this one. However, if you love to try new recipes and don't mind having to check the conversion chart and perhaps substitute certain ingredients for something that's readily available here, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

Not just cakes
Apart from the fact that this is geared towards an American audience (American measurements, temperatures, etc) it does have alot of recipes - and not just cakes. Beware if you can't convert things to have a coversion guide handy because unlike every other cookbook I have owned so far, this does not have a conversion guide or index. Very basic methods, no pictures of finished product with recipe (just a generic mangle of 7 completed cakes half way through the book with a page containing pictures of some of the bundt tins). The variey of the recipes are good but, for a cookbook of this price, the inner quality should be more akin to the quality of the jacket. Very uninspiring once you open the front cover. Very disappointed with the book's overall presentation.
Thank you Kitchenware direct, at least your quality always lives up to my expectations. Fast delivery, packaging with care, etc.
