Le Creuset
Located in northern France, the Le Creuset foundry has been manufacturing traditional cast iron bakeware since 1925. Today they also produce fine stoneware. A name synonymous with superior quality, Le Creuset bakeware is legendary in culinary circles.
Le Creuset cast iron bakeware is individually sand cast and manually finished, passing through the hands of at least 30 master craftsmen before leaving the factory. Each pan receives two coats of non-porous enamel which are fired and vitrified to an impenetrable and shock-resistant finish. Moulds are used once and then destroyed, so no two pieces of Le Creuset bakeware will ever be identical. Similarly, Le Creuset stoneware is made from only the most resilient materials and is heavily glazed and fired at high temperatures to prevent chipping, cracking and staining. Le Creuset backs up all their products with a lifetime satisfaction guarantee.
